Overview
Inline: Out of Time is an adrenaline-fueled 2D platformer packed with high-speed deliveries, urban parkour, and rail-grinding.
Role: Tools Programmer
Engine: Custom C++ Engine
Team Size: 11 (5 programmers, 3 artists, 3 designers)
Contributions
- Implemented early core engine architecture to allow early prototyping in-engine by artists and designers.
- Fostered a goal-oriented team environment through weekly sprints and standups.
- Implemented and expanded the Spine API library to allow artists to add fully animated assets to the engine without touching engine code.
- Met weekly with artists and mentors to focus my art implementation towards the artists' needs.
- Used pairs programming with gameplay engineer to implement a robust animation state-machine for player animations.
- Added additional Spine API library features near the end of our development cycle to allow randomization of NPC assets.
